Real life has been keeping me pretty busy the past week and a half and I haven't even been able to get through 2 or 3 sim days in the current household I'm playing (I don't know why they won't let me play the Sims at work because my updates could come everyday then :-P). Since I have so few households right now, I’m going to start by rolling only 2 ROS’s (Random Occurrence Scenarios) each round and then increase once I start getting more households. Hopefully I won’t have to kill too many people until then :). [Click the links to skip ahead to the ROS entries]

1. Food Poisoning. You should have known from the green fumes that it was no good. Stay home and rest up.
2. Laid off. There were cut backs and unfortunately, you were one of them.

Nothing too harmful, I hope. I have realistic sickness but I haven't seen it in action in my game and I don't know how it deals with food poisoning.

Creating sim profiles

I am starting to post individual profile pages for each sim. Here is the link to the Index Page, which can also be accessed to the right. I'll be updating this throughout the day and pictures will be added soon too.

And just a note that their ages are set to what they'll be after this current round. I wanted to figure out what they'd be before I implemented a new way of aging. So when you see that a sim is child aged in their profile but a toddler in their update, that is why.

But I am so absentminded! I was in such a rush to pay the bills that I forgot to put pants on before going outside. All of a sudden, one of my rather cute dorm-mates is whispering in my ear.

First day at Uni

Paul Reid is the first student (ever) to begin classes at the University of Crystal Creek. Thanks to his dad being the mayor and having a butt load of cash, he was able to get in even though his grades didn't meet the requirements.

He arrives looking very bored and unstylish.

Goin to the Prom

It's the day before the first senior prom in Crystal Creek and we join the Reids as they finish dessert. Poor Paul is just days away from his birthday and he doesn't have the grades to get into the University of Crystal Creek. Not only that, but he ate too much pie and now has a potbelly.
This is just not a good week for him.

Picture size

How is the size of the pictures shown in each post? Too big? Too small? Just right? I have a large monitor and they appear smallish to me, but I don't know what others have their monitor settings set to. It seems like if I upload them through blogger, they're kind of small, but if I do them through Photobucket, they're too big. Thanks for any input!

The Beginning

Welcome to my Sims blog! Please bare with me as I get everything set up. This is my second time doing this (the first was very short lived almost 4 years ago) and I want it to be as enjoyable for everyone (including for me).

My neighborhood, Crystal Creek, has been in the making for over 2 years. I started with the N99 hood, which was created by a group of great creators at the Neighborhood 99 forum and has been heavily tweaked by me since then. Finally, 2 years after attempting the huge task of removing all Sims and creating almost everyone (including townies) myself, I'm finally able to play!

The neighborhood is still in it's very early stages, family-wise. Even though there are 6 main families that I play, the past few months of game play has really been to establish their households, jobs, businesses and relationships, so aging has been set to off. I finally turned aging on the last 2 rounds I played so things have been progressing. And since I just recently decided to do a blog, I don't have much photographic proof of a lot of things. But don't worry... you didn't miss too much. I promise (or at least hope) that things will get much more interesting later on down the line.
