Narrated by Paul
This is my last year at UCC so I'm trying to get prepared. I can't wait to be outta here. I've been looking for apartments downtown and I found a couple of places I really like.
The one place I really love is a converted warehouse downtown. The only downside is that the place is huge and way too much space for just me. I’d have to think about roommates to cut the cost and fill all that space.
Shelah is the most likely candidate but I don’t know. I care about her a lot but I think she’d want things to become more serious if we lived together, and I'm just not ready for that yet. Everyone else I’m close with isn’t graduating for another year or so, or are girls I’ve fooled around with. And I’m definitely not moving in with any of them.
It’d be cool to share the place with Michael but he’d bring Celeste with him. I don’t have a problem with Celeste but those 2 are inseparable and it kind of makes me sick.
I don’t think I could stomach their sweetness on a daily basis. Even in this big dorm, I end up walking into some of their make out sessions, so I don’t even want to think about how often it’d happen if we shared an apartment. I'm no prude but I don't want to see that all the time.
And Michelle isn’t an option either. She’s been dating Fidel for over a year now and they seem pretty serious.
If they’re still together by the time they graduate, I’m sure they’ll want a place of their own.
I’m not seeing anyone seriously but I’ve been dating around. I started going out with this girl Gloria that lives in our dorm a few months ago but I'm already tired of her.
For one, she's kind of moody. One minute we'll be having a great conversation and then the next minute she gets all frigid and disagrees with everything I say. We don't have to agree about everything but she doesn’t have to be a snob about it.
And then while we were eating dinner, she barely paid attention to anything I said. So, unless something changes, that’ll be my last date with her.
At least I've been lucky with my music. I scored a little gig already at this bar called Beatnik's in Summit Heights. I've been playing there a couple of days during the week for some extra cash and to get my name out there.
I don't have much of a following yet but a bunch of the college kids have found their way there to support me. And even though not many people pay much attention to me while they’re eating, I enjoy being on stage.
After my set, I end up hanging out there the rest of the day playing poker and pool until my class starts.
I’ve gotten pretty good at poker which has come in handy since I don't make a lot in tips. I’m hoping that things will really take off once I graduate.
Extras:
Michelle and Fidel are so cute. If they have babies together, I might just have to make them all rhyme lol. Chanel, Danielle, Marcel, Noelle LOL.
Notes:
-I didn't have Davina and Joel's grades at the end of their play session but here are everyone's grades: Paul: 3.1, Davina: 3.3, Joel: 3.8, Michael: 3.6, Michelle and Celeste: 3.5
-Paul graduated! When I first sent him to uni, I didn't think he'd make it because he very rarely rolled school related wants but he did it. And his GPA wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, either.
-The awesome apartment Paul was looking at was built by Maisie for Carla for a project at N99. I really love it but it’s just too big for Paul by himself. I’m looking at some other places in case I can’t find a roommate for him by the beginning of 2013.
-It didn’t fit into this update but I changed Michael’s major to biology this year. I used Starr and Carla’s systems to double check his future career and he fits into science and natural science, not law. I don’t know why I originally thought he’d be a lawyer but he’s all switched now.
Perhaps converting it into smaller apartments? I loved that building as well, can't wait to see if he buys it or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and commenting! The last few times I tried to convert a building into an apartment, I had issues because I don't know all the tricks to doing it right. When I tested it on this one lot that was going to be a 2-floor apartment, the game treated the main floor as the apartment and the second floor as the common area. But I'll try it again and you'll see what place he gets in a few sim months :).
DeleteSo Michael's a science guy! Yeah, I can really see that, I have to say. He's got plenty of time to narrow it down though, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty impressed Paul actually graduated, lol. 3.1 isn't even the lowest graduating GPA I've seen either, so he's really done well for himself. It's going to be fun to watch him try to get his music career kickstarted when he's out on his own.
Michelle and Fidel are really sweet together. I have my fingers and toes crossed they stay together for a good while yet!
Thanks for reading and commenting! Glad you can see Michael as a science guy. I don't know how I didn't see it before. It's still not a perfect match but much better than Law.
DeleteI'm very impressed with Paul, too. Especially his last 2 years when he didn't have his lovers writing his term papers for him lol. That really boosted his GPA in the beginning. I can't wait to get him started on his music journey, too. What you've done with Luc and his career has given me some ideas that I'm eager to try :).
I think I'll focus more on Michelle and Fidel when I get back around to uni. I haven't done an update from her POV since they got together and we (I) barely even know Fidel, yet. They're still very keen on each other so they should last for another year.
I can't wait to see Paul out on his own, he reminds me of Slade in my game lol. I'm glad he graduated, that's a big accomplishment that he'll really begin to appreciate if the music angle doesn't work out for him. Michelle and Fidel are such a cute couple, I can see them staying together for the long run. The rhyming names would be hilarious lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and commenting! I'm excited to get Paul out on his own, too. Having that degree is definitely important so I'm glad he was able to graduate, with a decent gpa at that! I read a little bit about your Slade just now since I haven't had a chance to catch up on your blog yet and wow! Hopefully things for Paul won't turn out that dramatic lol. But hey, it keeps it interesting and fun!
DeleteI wasn't sure how long Michelle and Fidel would be together when I first sent them out on a date but they really clicked! They're really into each other right now so we'll see how things go. LOL I probably won't end up giving them rhyming first names but maybe the middle names will ;). I'll just have to see when we get to that point. Hopefully they can finish college before we get to said point! lol
Michael in science is perfect! I hope he can find a roommate. I agree it's too big for a solo guy, I'm glad you like it though! :) I don't know if it'd be so bad to room with Michelle and Fidel. They are pretty cute and they'd stay outta his way, and likely want their own place in another year, and then a recent grad could move in then.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and commenting! And sorry for the delay! I was on vacation last week and wasn't on my computer at all, surprisingly enough.
DeleteAnyway, glad you can see Michael in science, too. It makes much more sense for him, I think. Don't know how I didn't come to that conclusion before.
I didn't get to think much about Paul's roommates this week since I didn't play but I hope I can find someone to move in with him. It really is a great apartment. Michelle and Fidel could be an option for him but they don't graduate for another 2 years and I don't see them moving into an apartment "off campus" until then. I'll figure it out in the next few sim months :).
In my game I have an engaged couple named Jaden and Gretchen. I have a whole list of names ready for when they have kids: Reuben, Stephen, Kristen...
ReplyDeleteLove the blog, by the way. I came over here from Sullivan.
Sorry for the delay! Thanks for reading and commenting! LOL Those are cute names for the future kids of Jaden and Gretchen. At least I'm not the only one who thinks that way :).
DeleteSo happy to see some folks from Sullivan making their way over here! Glad you're enjoying my blog :).
