Narrated by Kyle Bryant
We're finally all settled in our new apartment in Summit Heights. It wasn't an easy move since Alicia couldn't help out as much as she wanted to, but we made it.
She was excited that we have a backyard for the kids. It's small, but it's more than a lot of other places we could afford in the city. She spends a lot of time out there painting, which helps her relax.
Now that the initial shock of finding out we were having twins has worn off, we're both dealing with it much better. We've been spending less money on unnecessary things and have a nice amount saved up.
Alicia seems to be enjoying being pregnant now that she’s not nauseous all the time. I know I'm enjoying it! It's crazy that there are 2 babies in there!
Waiting for their arrival has been overwhelming, though. From all the doctor's appointments, mood swings, and crazy cravings, we've barely had the time or energy to do any shopping. The nurseries are still pretty bare and I worried that they'll arrive before we have everything ready for them.
It seems like the list of necessities never ends for babies and we have to multiply it by 2! Why are there so many cribs and toys and things to choose from? It makes my head spin everytime we go shopping.
But Alicia seems pretty cool and calm about everything which puts me at ease. I just want everything to be perfect for my kids and I'm worried I might screw something up.
Notes:
-The apartment Alicia and Kyle moved into is in the very nice brownstone apartment building made by Apple Valley. It's available at her Apple Valley Downloads blog. Thanks Starr!
-I meant to take pics of their apartment all decorated but I forgot. You'll see more of it in a few months, though after I decorate the nurseries. Hopefully in a few sim-months and not real-life months. But you can see a part of the living room and the kitchen in the pics here, at least :).

Aww, the twins are almost here and the apartment looks great! I could barely recognize it. I can't wait to see the cuties.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, Starr! Yup, they're in your Grayson Hill building. I changed the kitchen in that unit, so that's probably why you didn't recognize it right away. It's the perfect size for them and their little family, so they better not have anymore surprise babies (although I wouldn't be mad if they did ;))
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the little tykes either. They're going to be so adorable!
Oooh, getting close! I'm glad Kyle and Alicia are settling into their new place and that they still have a few months to get their nursery ready for the twins. Personally though, I can't wait until they're born. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about that building as well! I have it in my lot catalog and have been meaning to find a place for it in my hood. :)
Carla, thanks for your comment! Yes, we're so close I can almost taste it lol. It feels like she's been pregnant forever. And I downloaded so many nurseries that I don't even know which one I want to use. They're all so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Yea, that brownstone is great and I really like the spot I placed it in the hood. I already have a playable NPC living in there so I think there are 3 more units I can fill up.
Alicia and Kyle seem happy. I can't wait to see the twins. Their apartments looks really cute from the little I've seen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, HeredonCove! Alicia and Kyle are pretty happy right now and I'm happy for them. I hope I can play through the next few households rather quickly so I can birth these babies soon lol. Everyone's dying to know what they're going to have and so am I! I'll try to show off more of their house in the birthday update and then, of course, their real update :).
ReplyDeleteThe apts look great from what I can see! I can't wait to see the twins, what an exciting time for Alicia and Kyle! New digs and two kiddos on the way :)
ReplyDeleteMizzgin, thank you! Glad you like the apartment. It took me a while to decide on decor and then when I went back in later, I changed it again lol. But I'm happy with it now. And yup, this is a very exciting time for them. They're in a much different place than their other friends that are the same age. Thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeleteI love the outdoors we've seen from their appartment! So much green! I can't wait to see more :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so looking forward to these twins! And we're almost there!!
Thanks for commenting, Tanja! Yes, Apple Valley did a very nice job with the backyards. It almost makes me forget that they're living in the city.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could skip ahead and see these twins already! I know you all are just as excited as I am! :)
that shit aint real
ReplyDeleteReally? Wow! I hadn't noticed! Thanks for visiting and pointing out the obvious! :)
